Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a road race for the 23th time on Friday, December 16, in memory of Martyr Ensign Kubilay. The 10.00-kilometer race, which will start at 10:XNUMX on Menemen Karaağaç Road, will end at Menemen Cumhuriyet Square.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will commemorate Ensign Mustafa Fehmi Kubilay and his friends, who were martyred by the anti-Republican forces in the bloody uprising that took place in Menemen 92 years ago, with the 23th Kubilay Road Race to be held on Friday, December 16. The race, which is expected to be attended by approximately 300 licensed athletes, will start at 10.00:10 on the Karaağaç Road and will be completed in Menemen Cumhuriyet Square after the 2003-kilometer distance is passed. The race will be held in the categories of those born in 2004-2002 for young men and women, and those born in XNUMX and over for older men and women. Cash prizes will be given to the top ten athletes in their categories in meaningful running.
The shuttle will depart from Menemen Cumhuriyet Square for the athletes and referees who will participate in the race. Kit distribution of the race will be made from Bornova Aşık Veysel Recreation Area Ice Sports Hall until 22 December between 10.00-19.00. Runners coming from outside the city who have completed their registration until the specified date will be able to receive the race kit on the morning of December 23 between 09.00-09.30.
