Emphasizing that the Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line has increased the transportation quality of Istanbul residents, Karaismailoğlu announced that 640 thousand 496 passengers traveled in October and 752 thousand 165 passengers in November on this metro line. Expressing that other metro investments in Istanbul are continuing rapidly, Karaismailoğlu said, “With 120 kilometers per hour, the 37,5 kilometers long Beşiktaş (Gayrettepe)-Kağıthane-Eyüp-Istanbul Airport Metro, which has the title of Turkey's fastest metro, will be one of the few metros in the world, We have completed the construction of the Kağıthane-Airport section. As soon as the signaling tests are finished, we will open it in the coming days. As of April 2023, we will open the Gayrettepe - Kağıthane area into operation. We have completed the construction of Başakşehir-Çam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayaşehir Metro. Karaismailoğlu said that “Bakırköy (IDO)-Bahçelievler-Güngören-Bağcılar(Kirazlı) Metro, which will directly connect the existing Kirazlı – Başakşehir Line with Bakırköy İDO, has a physical realization of close to 72 percent,” and emphasized that this line is aimed to be put into service in 2023. .
