Ukraine Romania Regional Train Services Will Restart

Ukraine and Romania restart railway connections in Rakhiv – Dilove – Valia-Višeului section. The net travel time from Rakhiv to Romanian Vali-Višeului will be approximately 40 minutes. Passport and customs control will be done during boarding the train.
As reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, “Ukrzaliznytsia” made the first trial along the route and soon the road will be fully operational.

Infrastructure Minister Aleksandr Kubrakov said: “The rail passenger service on the border between Ukraine and Romania is expected to open in early December. A comfortable regional train DPKR-3 built in Ukraine will run along the route,” he said.

According to him, the net travel time from Rakhiv to Romanian Vala-Višeului is about 40 minutes excluding customs clearance. Border and customs control will be carried out during boarding the train.

UZ plans to operate 2 trips per day with the possibility of transferring passengers to CFR Romanian Railways trains. There are daily train services from Vala-Višeului to Sziget, Cluj and Bucharest stations.
