The Summit of the Building Industry Will Meet at the 45th Yapı Fair-Turkeybuild Istanbul

Building, construction materials and technologies fair, which is the largest in the wide region covering the Balkans, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and North Africa, and one of the 5 largest construction fairs in the world, Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul will open its doors on March 26. .

Celebrating its 2023th anniversary in 45, Yapı – Turkeybuild Istanbul is the most effective business platform in the region, as well as being the longest-running exhibition of the Turkish construction industry. The fair serves as a main platform for both local and foreign exhibitors to reach a highly targeted audience of buyers, decision makers and opinion leaders. Attracting buyers from the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa besides Turkey, the fair also plays a major role in establishing new collaborations.

Sharing numeric information about the sector, ICA Group Turkey General Manager Kemal Ülgen said, “In the first three quarters of the year, exports of construction materials increased by 17 percent in value compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 26,13 billion dollars, while annual exports reached 35 billion dollars. Imports of construction materials increased by 23 percent to $ 7,81 billion. In the first 2022 months of 9, 1.057.193 houses were sold and house sales expanded by 11,4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. While the demand for investment housing was high in the first three quarters, there was an increase in the sales of first-hand and second-hand housing.

Expressing that they are very pleased with their contribution to the growth of the sector as Yapı Fair, Ülgen said, “We brought together our 44 exhibitors with more than 320 industry professionals and 45.000 invited buyers from 59 countries at the 385th Construction Fair – Turkeybuild Istanbul we organized this year. Our participants, who held more than 2.500 B2B meetings, managed to create a business volume of close to 400 million Euros. We aim to further enlarge our fair in Turkey's 100th anniversary. In this context, I can proudly say that 85% of our places have been filled so far.”
