Tarsus Youth Camp, which Mersin Metropolitan Municipality put into service for children and young people to have fun and relieve school stress, is being renewed. In addition to the existing areas, the 'Adventure Park' is coming to the Tarsus Youth Camp, which will be made more enjoyable for the visitors.

Dokucu: “Tarsus Youth Camp will become more suitable for children”

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Head of Women and Family Services Department Şerife Hasoğlu Dokucu gave information about the renovation works and said, “We will make the Tarsus Youth Camp more suitable for children. Trees that pose a danger to children were pruned. The security of the water edges is increased. Electrical installations will be reviewed. We did not have electricity in a large area. There will be electricity over there,” she said.

“Adventure Park is coming for our children”

Stating that the existing games have been removed and TSE-marked, safe games will be replaced, Dokucu said, “These games are games that will push children a little more. Our adventure park is coming. Work is underway to establish them. Internet was organized in the whole area. Entries and exits will be controlled. We will bring a secure and recording system. Our bungalows are being renovated, internal and external maintenance has been done. The dormitories were not very healthy, they were removed. It also had an advantage. It gave us more space. We made the environment even more beautiful and natural to host mothers and children there.”

“We will have a great youth camp”

Adding that the existing cafeteria will be demolished and a new one will be built in its place, Dokucu said, “Unfortunately, we cannot give a precise date at such times, but I can say that it will be a very nice youth camp in a few months. We also know that children are impatient. A little more patience, then we will have a great youth camp.”
