The 2022nd Istanbul Rally, the 6th and last race of the Shell Helix 42 Turkey Rally Championship, will be organized by the Istanbul Automobile Sports Club on 11-13 November with the contributions of ICRYPEX, Otokoç, Sardunya, Turkey Turing and Automobile Association. In the organization, which will be run on the 122 kilometers long track, 470 kilometers of which are special stages, determined on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, 53 teams and 106 athletes will sweat to achieve the best grade for two days.
The first day of the rally, which will start with the start ceremony to be held at Viaport Marina AVM on Friday, 11 November at 19.00, will consist of passing the Oruçoğlu, Mudarlı stages twice on Saturday, November 12. In the evening of the same day, the teams will come to the service area in Viaport Marina and complete the day. On Sunday, November 13, the teams that will pass the Göçbeyli and Esenceli stages twice will receive their awards at 16.45 on the finishing podium at Viaport Marina AVM.
The race, which will determine the class and group winners in the 2022 Shell Helix Turkey Rally Championship, gains a special importance as it is the last rally of the season. In addition to the Shell Helix 42 Turkey Rally Championship, the 2022nd Istanbul Rally will also score points for the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and Oğuz Gürsel TOSFED Rally Cup.
