Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has moved 259 caravans that have been parked in the İnciraltı City Forest for a long time to the designated parking areas. Thus, while the area was opened to the use of İzmir residents in accordance with its purpose, the parking problem of the visitors was also solved.

With the work carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with the Balçova District Governorate and the Balçova District Police Department, 259 caravans that have been parked for a long time in the İnciraltı Urban Forest have been evacuated. The area was opened to the people of İzmir to be used in accordance with its purpose. In this way, the parking problem of those who come to visit the İnciraltı recreation area was also resolved.

Gökhan Daca, Head of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Police Department, said, “The caravans deployed in the İnciraltı recreation area have been occupying the public area for a while and have been causing intense complaints from the citizens. Thereupon, we have determined three different free parking areas so that the caravans, whose number is increasing in the city, can park in a safe and healthy way. The transition of 259 caravans in the İnciraltı recreation area to the said areas under the supervision of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Police Department and the Provincial Police Department teams was completed without any problems.

Caravans in İnciraltı were shifted to Çiğli Garage Near, Food Bazaar and Bornova Captain İbrahim Hakkı Park regions.
