Konya Metropolitan Municipality has implemented the Mobile Communication System in order to increase the quality of radio communication within the borders of Konya province.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they are working for a more beautiful and livable Konya with its infrastructure and superstructure, and that they attach importance to establishing an uninterrupted communication network throughout the province by using the latest technological opportunities.

Noting that they aim to increase the quality of radio communication with the Mobile Communication System, President Altay said, “The system provides digital radio communication within a radius of 40 kilometers at its location with the new generation mobile communication relay on it. The system, which provides its energy needs with the solar energy panels on it, allows the service to continue uninterruptedly, with the generator on top of the gel battery group, in bad weather conditions where the sun is not enough.” said.

Expressing that the desired height will be reached easily with the pneumatic antenna tower on it, and radio communication will be more healthy in a 7/24 ready state, Mayor Altay said, “The system will further increase the quality of the service provided by our Metropolitan Municipality in radio communication systems with its mobile communication relay. Most importantly, in case of natural disasters or extraordinary situations, it will ensure that the radio communication in different regions of Turkey remains in working condition at times when the existing communication systems such as mobile phones and fixed phones are cut off.” used the phrases.

In Konya, which has a radio communication system covering 90 percent of the provincial borders, radio communication service continues to be provided with a total of 26 radio towers in the center and districts.
