IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – 16th Wedding Dress, Suit and Evening Dress Fair opened its doors at Fuar İzmir. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the opening of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, whose number of participants increased and its area grew by 30 percent compared to last year. Many manufacturers in Italy, the first country that comes to mind when it comes to fashion, buy from Turkey, and millions of people in Europe get married with Turkish wedding dresses.”
Öztürk: “İzmir's bright face reflects on the sector”
Hüseyin Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Fashion and Apparel Federation, said, “We are at a fair where local non-governmental organizations and local government are integrated in a high-energy sector in a city with high energy. 10 participants from Turkey and 222 countries
This year, a total of 10 exhibitors operating in evening dresses, wedding dresses, groom suits, accessories and children's clothing product groups from different cities of Turkey and 222 countries including America, Germany, Canada and Hong Kong are taking part in the fair. The fair is expected to host close to 3 foreign visitors from more than a hundred countries around the world, as well as thousands of domestic professional visitors. In order to increase the share of companies in the existing markets and to increase their exports to potential market countries and to diversify their export products, two separate purchasing delegation programs will be held for three days in parallel with IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, under the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce, organized by the Aegean Exporters' Associations and the İzmir Chamber of Commerce. In the procurement committee programs, delegations from all over the world, from Europe to America, will come to Izmir and hold business meetings with the participants. There will be 18 fashion shows within the scope of the fair. The “Performance Fashion Show” of Hasancan Meşelik, who won an award in the Wedding Dress Design Competition last year, will be presented to the visitors. The winners of the Wedding Dress Design Contest, which was held with the theme of “modaverse” this year, will also be announced with the ceremony to be held.
