A lawsuit was filed against the TV series Erşan Kuneri, starring Cem Yılmaz. The Association for No Addiction and Cigarettes filed a criminal complaint on the grounds that Cem Yılmaz encouraged alcohol and cigarettes in Erşan Kuneri's TV series. Association President Dr. Şahan Can Şahan said, “In this sense, we are seeking rights for our children. We filed a lawsuit against Cem Yılmaz. There is an incentive. One of the most important reasons to start is wannabe,” he said.

Erşan Kuneri series, starring names such as Cem Yılmaz, Zafer Algöz, Ezgi Mola, Çağlar Çorumlu, Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, Merve Dizdar, Bülent Şakrak, Necip Memili and Nilperi Şahinkaya, met with the audience on May 8 with its 13-episode first season.

Finally, the No Addiction and Smoking Association filed a criminal complaint on the grounds that Cem Yılmaz encouraged alcohol and cigarettes in Erşan Kuneri's TV series.

The following statements were included in the petition filed with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office: "It is clear that the suspect engages in acts that encourage alcohol and cigarettes in almost every scene of his TV series 'Erşan Kuneri' published on the content platform, and it is thought that he obtained benefits from cigarette and alcohol cartels through collusion."

Making a statement on behalf of the association, Sarıay Association President Dr. Şahan Can Şahan said, “Even though we are in the 18th place in the world population ranking, we are in the 8th place when we look at the number of smokers. This is absolutely not appropriate and should be reduced. It has a smoking rate of about 30 percent. Cigarette advertising is prohibited, but there is an application we call hidden advertising. In this regard, they especially use celebrities. Society should not turn a blind eye to this. In this sense, we seek rights for our children and youth. We filed a lawsuit against Cem Yılmaz. In the lawsuits we filed together with our late founding president, Orhan Kural, answers were given completely irrelevant, such as the brand is not clear, it does not enter into unfair competition. This time we will never accept such a thing. There is an incentive. One of the most important reasons to start is the wannabe. It is not right for a person to put cigarette scenes in all movies so insistently on a subject. This can only be achieved by obtaining a financial benefit.”
