The 3rd JIG Tournament organized by Adana Metropolitan Municipality was held at Karataş Port. The caught fish were auctioned and the proceeds were donated to LÖSEV.
In the tournament held at Karataş Port, 210 athletes competed in 66 categories with 3 boats. Cash prizes and various gifts were given to the contestants who competed in the "Catch and Release", "Biggest Fish" and "Most Fish" categories.
The referee committee from Çukurova University Fisheries Faculty took part in the tournament where local artists also gave concerts. While 66 fish were caught and released in the catch and release branch, Team Molly won the prize of 5000 TL and the runner-up Team Boyka donated 3000 TL to LÖSEV.
The Fabulous Fishermen team won the third place in the same branch and received an award of 2000 TL. Team Esas 01 won the first place in the category of fish, Team Özibey was the second and Team Turkuaz was the third. Team Diffirci won the biggest fish prize of 7500 TL and the combat belt in the tournament.
12.150 TL obtained from the auction of the fish caught as a result of the tournament was also donated to LÖSEV.
