The 29th International Scientific Congress and Exhibition, organized by Izmir Chamber of Dentists (IZDO) at Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center this year, brought together industry representatives and academics.
Making the opening speech of the congress, Chairman of the Scientific Committee Prof. Dr. Murat Türkün said that they prepared a rich content by working with the leading universities of İzmir for 6 months.
prof. Dr. Türkün said, “Our scientific committee, which brought together academicians from all universities for this congress, worked for about 6 months and created a good program. Within the scope of the congress, current information and experiences are shared in 39 conferences, oral presentations and presentations covering all dentistry disciplines. The program contains useful topics for everyone. I thank all the guests for their participation.
MORE THAN A THOUSAND DENTISTS MEET
Serdar Devrim Erkmen, Secretary General of İZDO and the Congress, said, “This year, close to 100 dentists and 250 5th grade students from the faculty of dentistry attend our congress. SCIENCE AND EDUCATION EFFECT
In the Age of the Sea, the President of İZDO stated that they were happy to meet once again in the 3-day event, which has become a tradition for years and is one of the largest dentistry congresses in Turkey.
Noting that there was a wide participation in the International Scientific Congress and Exhibition this year, Chairman Deniz Çağında continued his words as follows: “One of the most important duties of a professional chamber is to meet the postgraduate training needs of a colleague. We, as İZDO, are proud of being Turkey's leading Chamber of Dentists in continuous postgraduate dental education with our Thursday evening seminars, courses and congresses we organize twice a year. Our chamber, which holds the most well-attended dentistry congresses in Turkey after the TDB congresses, offers convenient shopping opportunities to our colleagues in the adverse economic conditions of our country, with its comprehensive exhibition as well as dentistry education. It also provides opportunities for companies to introduce themselves by bringing movement to the stagnation in the sector. One of the important features of our fall term congresses is that these congress dates coincide with the weeks of commemoration of the Republic and Atatürk. Unfortunately, we know very well how a society that is deprived of education and pursues rent rather than production has collapsed. That's why we, representing the well-educated segment, give our community to our students and patients in order to work and learn.
