Second Canalized Junction Work Completed on Mersin 3rd Ring Road

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality continues its road renewal and arrangement works on the 3rd Ring Road without interruption. Within the scope of the works carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department to strengthen the transportation network in Mersin and to further increase traffic safety, the second canalized intersection work was completed. After the intersection work at the intersection of 13th Street and İsmet İnönü Boulevard, the road was opened to traffic.

“3. Our canalized intersection works will continue in the continuation of the Ring Road.”

Serkan Bayazıt, Geological Engineer, who works as the Quality Control Chief in Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department, in his evaluation of the work that started with the one-week break in the schools and concluded in a short time, said, “13. We have completed our second canalized junction arrangement at the intersection of Cadde and İsmet İnönü Boulevard and opened the road to transportation”.

Providing information about the function of the canalized intersection, Bayazıt said, “The work done, the vehicles going on its route through the channels; it allows them to continue by following their own light to the left, straight or right. It is an arrangement we have made in order to ease the traffic and contribute to transportation. Our current work allows vehicles to travel more comfortably, quickly and reliably. Our canalized intersection works will continue in this way in the continuation of the 3rd Ring Road.”
