Izmir Metropolitan Municipality donated 17 sheep and goats to 39 producers, 153 of which were women, in Bergama. Speaking at the distribution ceremony, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu said, “I was very emotional and hopeful here today. As Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, we focus on income generating activities in agriculture. Our female producers are very important. Here, 39 of our 17 producers are women. We want this number to be even higher. If a woman has a side of the job in her village, says she will do agriculture, and the municipality gives her this opportunity, it means there is hope in this country. Another pillar of the phrase 'Another Agriculture is Possible', uttered by our President, is to be satiated in the place where one was born. If he is full in the place where he was born, it is not a problem. We will produce, we will sell what we produce and we will lead a comfortable life in our villages.
