Tanzania Will Benefit From Turkey's Railway Experience

Getting ready to switch to electrified railway operation, Tanzania will benefit from Turkey's railway experience. In this context, the Tanzanian delegation that came to our country met with the authorities at the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and exchanged views.

Tanzanian delegation consisting of Tanzania Electricity Supply Company (TANESCO), Energy and Water Affairs Regulatory Authority (EWURA) and Tanzania Railways Company (TRC) representatives visited TCDD. During the meeting held in the General Directorate meeting room, the Turkish delegation headed by Levent Özsoy, Deputy Head of the Railway Maintenance Department, made a presentation to the Tanzanian delegation on the energy supply and management of TCDD. After the meeting, the delegation examined Ankara 2nd Region Traffic Control Center, YHT Traffic Control Center and Ankara YHT Station.

The delegation, which continues its visits in our country, will conduct technical inspections at the Eryaman Transformer Center and YHT Maintenance Workshop on November 10.
