Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç examined and followed closely the works on the Rail System 5th Stage Talas Mevlana-Furkan Doğan Tram Line.

Kayseri Urban Rail Transport System 5th Stage, Martyr Furkan Doğan Station and 5,5 passenger stations along the route of approximately 9 kilometers to Talas Anayurt region, 3 underground well tanks, water tank with water tank and 3 transformer centers, including electromechanical works. An additional rail system line is being built.

While the construction works are going on feverishly, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç examined the works on site.

President Büyükkılıç, who received information about the latest situation from Deputy Secretary General Ali Hasdal and Gülermak-YDA officials, said, “Work on the second line of our Talas, also known as the Furkan Doğan-Mevlana line, continues rapidly. Our work continues in a healthy manner in our project, which will increase the transportation comfort of our developing Talas region.

Büyükkılıç underlined that this project is one of the works that will make the transportation system of the city modern, comfortable and safe.

President Büyükkılıç thanked the contractor companies and infrastructure organizations that contributed to the works.

Emphasizing that the work of the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent rail system continues uninterrupted, Büyükkılıç stated that when both projects, which are still in progress, start to serve, an alternative, fast, safe and comfortable transportation opportunity will be provided to the important points of the city.

TRAM LINE LENGTH WILL REACH 48 KILOMETER

When the Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent and Martyr Furkan Doğan-Talas Mevlana rail system lines are completed, the city's tram system, which is 35 kilometers long in the east-west direction, will reach 48 kilometers.

In addition, with the new lines being put into service and the number of existing 69 trams being increased to 80 with the new trams, a passenger carrying capacity of around 175 thousand will be reached. With the expanding and developing rail system network, citizens will have safe and comfortable transportation to the important points of the city.
