20 MILLION PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN CAMPAIGNS
Reminding that more than 2 million people participated in the November campaigns in e-commerce for the last 20 years, Kayral gave the following information:
“Domestic e-commerce platforms have now reached the level to compete with global competitors. Due to the campaigns led by these platforms, November has been the month with the highest turnover in digital markets in recent years. This year, it may be behind the previous years in terms of the number of transactions, but with the effect of inflation, we foresee that the e-commerce turnover figures in Turkey in November will increase 2-3 times of the previous years. The expectation of the sector is 150 billion TL.”
CAMPAIGNS SPREAD THE MONTH
Reminding that the campaigns were limited to a few days in previous years, there was an overload, the cargo did not reach the customers on time, and some shopping sites were in danger of collapse, Kayral said, “E-commerce platforms have improved their infrastructure by taking lessons from past experiences. Cargo and courier companies are now in a position to deliver products within hours. Companies are spreading their campaigns over long periods to disperse the intensity on 11.11 and Wonderful Friday. There were even those who declared the whole of November to be the month of the campaign. Discounts of up to 60-70% will be made on some platforms.
