Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to offer 4 kinds of hot meals daily to university students. The number of points where food is served increased to 5 with the addition of METU. The Social Services Department delivers hot meals to university students between 14.30 and 17.30 on weekdays at Gazi University and Hacı Bayram Veli University Beşevler campuses, Yıldırım Beyazıt University Esenboğa and Çubuk KYK campuses, and at the METU A13.00 Entrance between 16.00 and 4 on weekends.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its practices with the aim of a 'student-friendly' city, continues to support the young people who come to the capital to study at university.
Social Services Department, which previously distributed soup to university students, has been offering "4 Kinds of Hot Meals" since October.
The hot meal service, which started at 4 locations at Gazi University and Hacı Bayram Veli University Beşevler campuses, and Yıldırım Beyazıt University Esenboğa and Çubuk KYK campuses, reached 5 locations with the addition of METU. 2 thousand daily on weekdays and 300 daily on weekends are delivered to students by ABB.
Meticulously prepared meals at Belpa Kitchen are prepared by the Social Services Department teams every day between 14.30 and 17.30 on weekdays at Gazi University and Hacı Bayram Veli University Beşevler campuses and Yıldırım Beyazıt University Esenboğa and Çubuk KYK campuses, and on weekends between 13.00 and 16.00 in METU. It is served to university students at the A4 Entrance.
STUDENTS FIND THE MEALS QUALITY AND DELICIOUS
Stating that they had difficulties due to the economic crisis and that food support contributed to their budget, university students said:
-Ahmet Efkan Giritli: “I've been eating here since the first week it opened. Saturday and Sunday meal delivery is a great opportunity for us. Because food is not served in the cafeteria of our own school, the opportunity to eat free in this way is very useful for us. We can allocate the budget we allocated for dinner that weekend to other resources.”
-Emre Yılmaz: “It was really a good opportunity for us. When the cafeteria is closed on the weekend, we can meet our needs for at least one meal free of charge. The food is very good quality and delicious. Thank you.”
-Eda Naz Işık: “We, as students, have a hard time when the economy is in such a difficult period. I am very happy with this cooking app.”
-Burak Erdem: “I have a hard time finding food on weekends. Food prices are too expensive. It was a great chance for us to be distributed free food.”
-Deniz Günay: “We are going through difficult times economically. I have friends who started school with 80 kilos and dropped to 60 kilos. It is very important to help students in this way. Thank you very much to the city and its staff.”
