Bursa Metropolitan Municipality is renovating the road of Gölyazı, which is one of the richest ancient settlements of the city, frequented by local and foreign tourists.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which produces radical solutions to the transportation problem with the rail system, bridges and intersections, new roads and road widening works in Bursa, on the other hand, continues its efforts to make the existing roads healthier. Within the scope of these works, which cover 17 districts of Bursa, the 4300-meter-long and 8-meter-wide road between the İzmir road and Gölyazı is also being renewed. 6 thousand tons of excavation and filling work was carried out on the road that provides access to Gölyazı, which is one of the richest ancient settlements in the city, whose history dates back to the 40th century BC, and which is flooded with visitors especially on weekends. Approximately 8 thousand tons of asphalt will be poured on the road where hot asphalt coating works have started. With the completion of this work, transportation to Gölyazı will also become more comfortable.

Investments don't stop

Reminding that giant budget investments such as the Courthouse Junction, Fuat Kuşçuoğlu and Balıklıdere bridges continue in the city center, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that on the other hand, they are making an intense effort to make the existing roads healthier. Stating that the works continue uninterruptedly in 17 districts within a certain program, Mayor Aktaş said, “Gölyazı is one of the important tourism values ​​not only of our Bursa but also of our country. Especially on weekends, there is a heavy traffic of visitors. Our mukhtar had intense demands to make the road more comfortable. Our work continues rapidly. In a short time, transportation to Gölyazı will also become more comfortable.”
