Journalists from Germany were guests of Arkas Logistics as part of the tours organized by the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey under the title of “Turkey's Service Exports”. Welcoming the representatives of Germany's leading broadcasting companies, Arkas Logistics talked about the advantages of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the work carried out in the main business lines as a company.

He also visited Arkas Logistics as part of the press tours titled “Turkey's Service Exports” organized by the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, in line with its efforts to promote Turkey's investment environment. Arkas Logistics hosted 18 journalists from 25 channels and explained its activities.

The importance of the “Middle Hallway” is growing

Arkas Logistics officials stated that as Arkas, they invested both in Turkey and abroad to become an important player in the “Middle Corridor” and explained the goals of the partnership with Duisport, Europe's largest intermodal logistics terminal operator. It was stated that with the Railport Terminal investment in Kocaeli Kartepe, it was aimed to develop multimodal logistics centers in Turkey and to expand the intermodal network between Europe and Asia.

The land port, located on an area of ​​approximately 265 thousand square meters and in the center of the industry, will be a transfer terminal where the cargo can be unloaded and handled again. It will both feed the China-Turkey Silk Road line and serve the East Marmara ports.

In the first phase of the project, railway lines, container storage areas and a 5.000 square meter warehouse are being built for loading and unloading operations. Railport, which has an annual storage capacity of 100 thousand containers and 500 thousand tons of general cargo, will be an environmentally friendly investment with its railway connection.

Two New Companies Introduced

In addition to the companies under Arkas Holding, the German media members also gave information about the two new companies of the Logistics Services Group.

Shipeedy Logistics Inc., which will carry out partial distribution and storage activities under partial logistics services, was established. While aiming to be a pioneer in the sector with digital services to be offered before and after sales, it is also aimed to bring a different perspective to the partial logistics sector.

It was stated that ArkasRail, another new company of the group, will make an important contribution to the railway transportation sector, which is environmentally friendly, safe, provides price stability, has a low transportation risk, and provides the customer with a volume advantage in a single load.

Logistics at Digital Speed

Arkas Logistics, which has been involved in many recent breakthroughs in order to support its basic strategies of “digitalization and speed”, introduced AR-CELL and Ar-tim applications on site to the German journalist group.

At Arkas Logistics Technology Monitoring Center (AR-TİM), real-time monitoring of drivers, instant speed, route and location tracking, notification of transport information to drivers via SMS, and in-cab cameras are recorded.

Load acceptance, address and navigation support is provided via the AR-CELL driver mobile application.
