Emirates Celebrates 20 Years of Successful Partnership with Mauritius

Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark reaffirmed the airline's steadfast cooperation with Mauritius at a dinner reception honoring the 20th anniversary of operations in the country.

The event took place at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel with the participation of Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and other prominent members of the government, as well as distinguished business leaders from the private sector and guests.

Sir Tim Clark stated that Emirates is proud to support the economy and tourism agenda of the island nation by bringing passengers from all continents to Mauritius and said: “I believe that a bright future awaits Mauritius and Emirates in this process, which we left behind the pandemic crisis.”

This year Emirates is celebrating 2002 years of flights to Mauritius as part of its successful partnership on the Dubai-Mauritius route, which has carried more than 6,5 million passengers since 20.

Sir Tim Clark, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and other leading figures from the region inaugurated the Emirates Airline Swimming Pool and Sports Complex in Phoenix. Emirates provided $6 million in financing for the construction of the swimming pool and sports facility that will benefit the local community.
