Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will celebrate 20 November World Children's Rights Day, which was postponed due to bad weather, with a series of events on 25-27 November. The program, which was prepared to draw attention to children's rights, to protect children and to improve their living conditions, will be held at Kültürpark and Seferihisar Children's Municipality campus. Children will have a pleasant time for two days.

Big day at Seferihisar Children's Municipality
Puppet, drama, pantomime, folk dances, wooden legs, circus performances at Seferihisar Children's Municipality between 25 and 13.00 on Friday, 17.00 November, within the scope of activities organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department, Child Municipality Branch Directorate, with the slogan "I am a child, I exist with my rights". There will be a total of 5 workshops in the fields of science, ecology, cuisine, culture and art for children aged 14-25 on both days. Apart from the workshops, children will have a high awareness and fun time with sports tracks, awareness tracks and street games. Each workshop was designed in relation to the “International Convention on the Rights of the Child”. There will also be an interpreter in the workshops for children with language barriers.

On Sunday, November 27, 2022, next to the workshop area, 20 November World Child Rights Day will be celebrated with stage activities. In the stage events planned between 14:00-17:00; “SGDD Alfarah Children's Choir, Izelman Kindergartens Sustainability Choir, Circus Performances, Mimdo's Pantomime Play and the Subadap Children's Concert” will take place. In addition, wooden legs will accompany the children during the activities. Free children's books will be distributed to children through the Mobile Library and various treats will be offered to children.
Attention is drawn to children's rights on buses
In addition to the activities, awareness activities were initiated throughout the week to draw attention to children's rights. ESHOT buses were dressed in various parts of İzmir for the World Children's Rights Day. The buses were equipped with visuals that included informational content such as children's right to name, citizenship right, right to life, freedom of expression, scope and content of children's rights, right to healthy life, right to play and right to respect for privacy.
