Bursa Traffic Will Relieve With New Bridges and Junctions

Bringing a breath of fresh air to Bursa traffic with new bridges and junctions, the Metropolitan Municipality has accelerated its work on the bridge that will provide the connection from Acemler to Yunuseli Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street. With the two additional bridges to be built over the Yunuseli Canal, an investment of more than 200 million TL will be made in the region.

Continuing uninterrupted work on new roads, road expansions and rail systems in order to eliminate transportation problems in Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality adds new ones to its bridge and intersection investments. In addition to the Samanlı bridges, which were opened in the past days, the Balıklıdere Bridge, whose foundation was laid, and the Courthouse Junction, the construction of which continues, work has also accelerated on the bridge that will provide the connection from Acemler to Yunuseli Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street. With the Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Bridge, which is under construction at the Acemler and Yunuseli junction of the Near East Ring Road, vehicles coming from the direction of Acemler will directly connect to Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street with the new bridge without 'entering the Near East Ring Road'. For the Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Bridge, which consists of 7 legs and 6 spans, where production continues, 54 beams and 1560 meters of bored piles will be installed. Approximately 2700 square meters of concrete and 900 tons of iron will be used in the study, 2500 square meters of geoarme wall production and 30 thousand cubic meters of excavation fill will be made.

Two additional bridges

In the continuation of this bridge, there will be no traffic problems with the bridge that will allow those who want to return to Hürriyet and Soğukkuyu to make a u-turn over Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street. With the additional bridge to be built at the intersection of Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street and 6th Fırın Street, the traffic problem in the region will be completely eliminated by providing the transition to the 'Acemler and Eastern Nearby Ring Road'. Scope of work; A 3-span, 8-meter-wide and 110-meter-long post-tensioned bridge and a single-span, 28-meter-long and 16.50-meter-wide bridge will be built.

200 million investment

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş examined the works on the bridge that will provide the connection from Acemler to Yunuseli Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street and the bridges to be built on the Yunuseli Canal. Stating that they have implemented the things that need to be realized within the scope of the Traffic Master Plan they have prepared, President Aktaş noted that they spent the years 2020 and 2021 in the shadow of the pandemic process, but they made important tenders related to transportation investments, especially from the second half of 2021. Expressing that Yunuseli is one of the rapidly developing areas, Mayor Aktaş said, “With the bridge that will connect Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street, vehicles coming from the direction of Acemler will directly connect to the street with the new bridge without entering the 'Near East Ring Road'. This situation will seriously relieve our citizens coming from the Council of Europe Boulevard. Afterwards, those who want to return to 'Hürriyet and Soğukkuyu' will not experience traffic problems thanks to the return bridge to be built on Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street. Due to the dense population in the region, the traffic problem will be completely eliminated by providing the transition to the Acemler and Eastern Near Ring Road with the additional bridge to be built at the intersection of Fuat Kuşçuoğlu Street 6th Fırın Street.
