“STRATEGY PLAN” STUDIES STARTED IN 2020
Beyoglu; It is one of the most important centers of Istanbul with its historical background, central location, Bosphorus and Golden Horn shores and multicultural population structure. The negativities experienced over the years necessitated the planning of the whole district with a new understanding. At the end of 2020, IMM set out by saying, “Tell me your opinion, let's design the Beyoğlu of your dreams together with the common mind”. The process, which started about 2 years ago, was shaped by taking the opinions of all the stakeholders of the issue. Within the scope of the plan work, more than 300 events were held and one-on-one contact was established with approximately 15 thousand people. More than a thousand proposals were collected and a participatory process that could set an example for all institutions was implemented. At the end of the studies; “Beyoğlu Spatial Strategy Plan” was created in order to protect the multicultural structure and cultural heritage of the district and make it more livable and earthquake resistant.
WHAT IS THE BEYOĞLU SPATIAL STRATEGY PLAN?
Beyoğlu Spatial Strategy Plan is a future-oriented vision document that evaluates all components and all issues of the district together and in relation to each other. The plan is shared with the people of Istanbul for the public to evaluate. Istanbulites who wish to convey their opinions and evaluate this study,
