Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that 94 thousand 606 teachers with master's degrees are exempt from the exam for head teacher, while 257 teachers with doctorates are exempted. Noting that a total of 614 thousand 390 teachers applied for teaching career ladder training, Özer stated that 99 percent of these teachers, that is, 606 thousand 185, completed their education.
Noting that 595 thousand 598 applications were made for the Teaching Career Levels Written Exam, Özer reminded that those with a master's and doctorate degrees will be exempt from the exam.
Minister Özer said, “The number of our exempted teachers has been determined. Accordingly, the number of 75 thousand 506 thousand specialist teachers currently in our education system will reach 94 thousand 606 with 170 thousand 112 new specialist teachers who are exempt from the exam. The number of head teachers, which is currently 89, will increase to a total of 257 with 346 teachers who are exempt from the exam. Hopefully, this number will increase with our friends who will qualify to become experts and head teachers by taking the exam, and we will continue on our way much stronger together.” said.
Özer said that the Teaching Career Stages Written Exam will be held in exam centers in 19 provinces on November 81, as previously planned, and that the exam question booklets are in the printing phase.
