Bülend Özveren (born in 1943, Istanbul - died on October 18, 2022), Turkish television presenter and sportscaster. She is best known for presenting the Eurovision Song Contest in Turkish at intervals between 1975 and 2012.
After graduating from Sultanahmet Primary School, he completed his secondary education at Saint Benoît French High School and his higher education at Galatasaray High School and graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law.
He was successful in the first “producer” exams held by TRT in 1964 and completed the course at Istanbul Radio with the first place. He started working at TRT on 31 July 1965, after working as a television presenter for a long time, he continued to work as a sports announcer in 1972.
He presented the Eurovision Song Contest in Turkish at intervals between 1975 and 2012. In 1982, he hosted the program called Riziko, which was broadcast on TRT. He resigned from TRT in the same year and worked as an editor at Gelişim Publications and as a customer representative at Cen agency advertising company, respectively. He founded his own advertising company in 1985, and since 1987 he served as the general manager of Pen agency advertising company. From 1986 to 1998, he prepared and presented hundreds of live competition programs on TRT as an external producer.
Bülent Özveren, who retired at the end of 1999, worked as the speaker-presenter department head at TÜRVAK. He taught at various courses in Istanbul and Bursa. Bülent Özveren, who speaks French and English, takes classes as a master instructor in the "announcer-presenter" departments and gives conferences at various universities and institutions on effective and good Turkish speaking.
