Ebubekir Sıddık Savaşçı, Provincial Director of National Education; “The project, supported by the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festivals Support Program, aims to develop positive perspectives on science, scientific knowledge and scientists, and to increase scientific curiosity and awareness in the participants. Raising a good person is not easy, it is a process. It is possible to be more effective with technological opportunities, but in essence, it requires desire and curiosity. When science is mentioned, there must be curiosity behind it. Where there is no curiosity, science has no chance to develop. Children need to grow up by inquiring and find answers to their questions. We must coordinate this well. Processes that complement each other need to be lived and maintained. This is only possible if the school, family, environment and administration can all work in an integrated manner. I hope this event will contribute to the increase in the excitement we want to show at the point of education. If we cannot raise good and qualified people, it is not possible to look at our future with hope. In this respect, practical training is very important.”

Sapanca District Governor Abdurrezzak Canpolat; “There is no world without science, no technology at all. Young minds should be encouraged to think, observe, wonder, and investigate what they are curious about. We have established workshops for students in these schools to realize their thoughts, skills and dreams. Among our students, we have students who will shed light on Turkey's bright future. We are happy to see this, our hopes always remain fresh. Our expectation from our young people is to be good children to their homeland, flag, nation, families and loved ones. They are responsible individuals. The Science Festival, which we organize to reveal the talents of our students, is one of them. I would like to thank everyone who contributed and our students.”

Sapanca Mayor Özcan Özen;” Sapanca Science Festival is of great importance for all participants, from 7 to 70, to develop positive perspectives on science, scientific knowledge and scientists through entertaining applications, and to increase scientific curiosity and awareness in the participants. Knowledge has always been the determining force throughout human history. In order to have this power and to determine our own destiny, we must constantly renew and develop ourselves in all areas of knowledge. We must make moves in accordance with the tremendous experience and knowledge that the culture and civilization we belong to offer us. We must quickly inherit the legacy left by many great scholars such as Ibn Sina, Farabi, Katip Çelebi, Ali Kuşçu and carry it much further. I congratulate Sapanca Primary School teachers, students and those who contributed to the TÜBİTAK 4007 Sapanca Science Festival program, which adds a different color and dimension to our education world.”
