The railway line was engulfed in flames after a fuel tanker crashed into a railway overpass in Mexico.

Due to the fire that started after the accident in the city of Aguascalientes, approximately 1500 people living in the surrounding area were evacuated from their homes.

According to the information reached so far, no one lost their lives in the accident, but it is reported that there are injured people. Some houses and vehicles around the railway line were also engulfed in flames. Aguascalientes Mayor Leo Montañez said in a statement on Facebook that 300 of the 120 houses in the area were damaged.

It is not yet clear how the accident occurred. In the first news, it was reported that the truck collided with the train, but then the Reuters news agency announced that the truck had hit the overpass on the railroad track.
