The 7.4-kilometer Pendik – Sabiha Gökçen Airport metro line was put into service with the presence of President Erdoğan. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that they have increased the quality of life of Istanbul residents, and besides the metro line, which was opened; He said that they will continue to bring the people of Istanbul together with the new metro lines.

Pendik-Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro was opened with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu. Speaking at the opening, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu said, “In the world; In this period when the production and investments have almost stopped, we are putting another very important investment into the service of our people. We are experiencing the excitement, happiness and pride of bringing this magnificent project to Istanbul, the people of Istanbul. We add value to the value of our country and Istanbul with the giant projects we have realized by bringing the world's most advanced transportation and infrastructure projects to our beautiful country with the understanding of 'service to the public is service to the right'.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which we bring together with the metro today, is the 3rd busiest airport in Turkey and the 8th busiest in Europe. While the world's leading airports are struggling with crises and experiencing chaos, there is comfort at the airports in Turkey. President, under your leadership, we are working with the excitement and determination of the first day to provide a fast, safe and comfortable transportation service to our country.”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they will bring the people together with comfortable transportation opportunities and that they will continue to implement all the transportation and infrastructure projects required for Turkey's century, as well as our 7,4 kilometer metro line that we have opened today; We will continue to bring the people of Istanbul together with the new metro lines. We continue to work on 6 more lines in Istanbul. This year, we will also open our Başakşehir - Kayaşehir Metro Lines, which pass through Kağıthane - İstanbul Airport and Çam Sakura City Hospital.
