Narlıdere Mayor Ali Engin came together with the businesses representing Narlıdere in Terra Madre Anatolia, which was opened simultaneously with the 91st İzmir International Fair and brought together the flavors of Anatolia and İzmir with the participants, and presented a plaque of appreciation. President Engin stated that they want to make Narlıdere one of the most important gastronomy spots of Turkey and İzmir and said, “Narlıdere will always be a place where small producers and tradesmen are supported. With the arrival of the metro, our citizens will be able to easily reach the taste stops in our district. We can make Narlıdere a world brand in this field and grow our economy.”

In Terra Madre Anadolu 2022, held simultaneously with the Izmir International Fair (IEF), a plaque of appreciation was presented by Narlıdere Mayor Ali Engin to the businesses that represent Narlıdere and bring the local flavors of the district together with the world. In addition to Mayor Ali Engin, Journalist Nedim Atilla, one of the Founders of Slow Food Turkey, Ilke Engin, the Leader of Slow Food Narlıdere Union, and business owners attended the meeting held at Narlıdere Park Forest Facilities, and members of Narlıdere Municipality Women's Entrepreneurship and Production Business Cooperative also took part.

Expressing that Narlıdere's membership of Slow Food, the world's largest food movement, made a great contribution to the promotion of the district in a short time, President Ali Engin stated that they always support the local food culture and producers, and said, “Slow Food, which covers millions of people in more than 160 countries. We attach great importance to the inclusion of our Narlıdere in the food movement. We believe that a sustainable food system will be achieved by preserving local flavors and supporting producers. We know that how food products are grown, produced and consumed from the field to the table is of great importance for our environment and health. Our food businesses located in Narlıdere act with this awareness and protect our water, soil and food. At the same time, it introduces our local food culture and our district to the world. Journalist Nedim Atilla, one of the Founders of Slow Food Turkey, also said that İzmir is experiencing historical days with Terra Madre Anadolu. Atilla said, “Many manufacturers from all over Turkey came to the fair. İzmir has a uniqueness in the field of gastronomy and we showed this with Terra Madre Anadolu. We are proud of our Narlıdere team. I would like to thank our Mayor Ali Engin and Slow Food Narlıdere Union Leader İlke Engin for paving this path in Narlıdere.”
