Malaysia decided to procure ANKA SİHA (Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) from Turkey. Within the scope of the tender opened by the Malaysian Ministry of Defense, 3 ANKA SİHAs will be procured. In this context, the supply contract is expected to be signed between the Malaysian Ministry of Defense and TAI.

In a statement on his Twitter account, Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein referred to the results of the tender opened within the scope of the needs of the Malaysian Air Force. Minister Hüseyin stated in his statement that 72 of the ATR 2 maritime patrol aircraft developed by the Italian company Leonardo will be procured for the maritime patrol aircraft. In addition, Minister Hüseyin stated that 3 units / systems will be purchased from the UAV system produced by TAI within the scope of the supply of medium altitude long stay in the air (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicles for the Malaysian Air Force. It is known that the UAV system in question is the ANKA SİHA system.

ANKA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, developed by TAI with national resources, including day/night and bad weather conditions; It is equipped with payloads for real-time image intelligence, target destruction missions for reconnaissance, surveillance, fixed/moving target detection, identification, identification and tracking.

ANKA UAV can stay in the air for 30.000+ hours at an altitude of 30ft and can carry 350+ kilograms of payload.
