“WE CAME FROM OUT OF CITY FOR THE BOOK FAIR”

While Kayseri, the leading city of Anatolia, is expected to break the visitor record of previous years at the leading book fair, citizens noted that they liked the book fair very much and were satisfied. Zehra Güneş, who stated that she was pleased to meet with the authors, said, “We are meeting with the authors. We know the books. Especially in today's digital age, I think that being in touch with books is the best way to tell people about ourselves with books. Because the digital age appeals to the visual, you see it instantly and forget it. But books are like a savior. These are the unfading roses of today. I would like to thank the Metropolitan Municipality for the book fair,” he said. Expressing that he teaches at a school in Kayseri, Osman Karacabey stated that they attach great importance to the fairs, and Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Dr. He thanked Memduh Büyükkılıç for their support. Karacabey said: “We came with my son and wife. We came as soon as it opened. We come every year. I've been here since 2018. My son, my wife and I each have the right to a book. I think it is very useful especially for children to make them love books. I care about fairs in terms of giving money to children and buying the book. Thank you to the City Hall. I am the teacher. The school has a chart. I also do the planning at my own school. Hopefully we'll be here on the 20th. That's why I thank Memduh Bey.”

“WE LOOK AT BOOK FAIRS EVERY YEAR”

A book lover named Tanay Durmaz said, “We liked the book fair very much. We come every year. But this year we liked it even more. We were very satisfied. We came for Beyhan Angay's autograph signing with my child.” Hayrullah Karataş also stated that they look forward to the book fairs every year and said, “The fact that well-known authors come to these events both for our children and ourselves, of course, makes us very happy. It would be nice if it was done 2,3 times a year. Because we have a hard time finding some books. It is easier to find the books we are looking for when there are such events and fairs. That's why we try to come regularly to events like this. Omer Faruk Öztoprak said, “I think the fair is very good. We meet with authors and get our books signed. I would like to thank those who contributed.” Hilal Rençber expressed that she liked the Book Fair very much and said: “It is a very nice thing to come together with authors and books. We are very grateful to our Metropolitan Municipality for this. All the writers are sincere. They are all very good.” A book lover named Mustafa Şener said, “First of all, we would like to thank the Metropolitan Municipality for their contributions. This is a good opportunity for us. I'm from Yozgat by the way. We came specifically for the book fair. At the same time, we want to visit the city Kayseri. We come from time to time. They give discounts of 25 percent or 30 percent on books. This is an opportunity for us. "We are trying to evaluate it," he said.

FREE TRANSPORTATION BY METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY

Students and book lovers will also be provided with free transportation to the 5th Kayseri Book Fair by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. The 5th edition of the book fair, which welcomes more book lovers every year than the previous year, is expected to be met with great interest this year as well.
