'Education Card' Support from Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to 25 Thousand Children

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its stationery aid in the 2022-2023 academic year. While the amount loaded on the Education Card, which is used by primary and secondary school students in need in 30 districts of the city, was increased to 205 liras, the number of students benefiting from the project increased to 25 thousand. The cards are available for use as of today (October 3).

The balance loaded on the Education Card, which is delivered to needy primary and secondary school students in 30 districts of İzmir, has been increased from 140 lira to 205 lira. The number of students benefiting from the project was increased to 25 thousand. The cards are available for use as of today (Monday, October 3rd). The Education Card can be used by the stationers registered with the district chambers of commerce under the coordination of the Izmir Chamber of Book and Stationery Tradesmen and the Izmir Chamber of Commerce.

The amount of support approached 13 million

200 thousand 2019 students in 17, 58 thousand 2020 students in 23 and 629 thousand 2021 students in 24 benefited from the Education Card application, which is the lifeline of more than 290 stationery shopkeepers. This year, a total of 5 million 125 thousand liras will be loaded on the Education Cards of the students. Thus, a total of 2019 million 12 thousand liras of stationery support will be provided since 800.
