Sivas's Divriği district has gained a modern bus station with the technical and project support of IMM. Speaking at the opening, İmamoğlu said, “As a city of 16 million people in Turkey, we do not feel responsible for it. We strive to respond to requests from every municipality and institution that knock on our door from every corner of Turkey. Yesterday, we put into service a very valuable school named Mustafa Live Science and Art Center in Gümüşhane and entrusted it to the Ministry of National Education. In other words, one institution of our state contributed to another institution of our state. This is budget solidarity. This is the job of sharing these services with his nation, without neglecting his own work," he said.

Divriği Intercity Bus Terminal and Life Center, which was completed with the contributions of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was put into service. The ceremony held for the opening of the terminal; CHP Deputy Chairman Seyit Torun, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluwas held with the participation of Divriği Mayor Hakan Gök, Divriği District Governor Yakup Papaker and the people of the district. Before the opening, Torun, İmamoğlu and their delegation visited Divriği Mayor Gök and Divriği District Governor Papaker separately in their offices.

TORUN: “IMM IS IN A GREAT BREAKTHROUGH”

Speaking at the opening, CHP Deputy Chairman Seyit Torun said to the citizens who filled the area, “I convey my greetings and love to my dear President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. I convey my best wishes for good luck”. Stating that İBB continues similar cooperation with other municipalities, Torun cited the Ardahan Bus Terminal, which was opened recently, as an example. Torun thanked İmamoğlu and Gök for their cooperation and said, “Istanbul Metropolitan is in a big breakthrough. The gangrenous problems that have been waiting for years are being resolved. It is solved by considering the primary needs of the citizens, not with such crazy projects. A world record is currently being set in Istanbul. There are metro works on 10 separate lines. And many infrastructure issues have been fixed as well. Problems have been resolved in Üsküdar, Beşiktaş, where the sea meets the land, in many places and in many municipalities. And equal service goes to 39 districts. We believe that these studies will also shed light on our future.”

“WE HAVE 28 BILLION LIRA OF LOANS WAITING FOR APPROVAL”

Noting that the Nation Alliance municipalities continue their services despite the impositions and obstacles from the central government, Torun said, “At the moment, we unfortunately have a 28 billion lira loan pending approval. If these loans were approved, -looking at a single signature, friends- the transportation, infrastructure and environmental problems of our Istanbul, Muğla, Mersin and many other cities would be solved. After all, these services will go to our citizens. But unfortunately, an understanding does not approve of them. Let them not. But we believe that it will be up to the candidate of the Nation Alliance to approve this in the elections to be held in June 2023. Our President will be blessed," he said. Addressing the participants with the words “Good luck to you, good to be together”, Torun said, “I hope we will celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our Republic in the coming days. I believe that we will crown the Republic with democracy in its 100th year," he said.

İMAMOĞLU: “I BROUGHT THE GREETINGS OF 16 MILLION PEOPLE TO DİVRİĞİ AND SİVAS”

Addressing an enthusiastic crowd in the area organized as the bus station, İmamoğlu started his speech with the words, "I bring greetings, love and respect to the beautiful people of Divriği, the beautiful people of Sivas, and 16 million people of Istanbul, whom they are not strangers to." Emphasizing that IMM is committed to every municipality in Turkey with a sense of brotherhood and sister municipality, İmamoğlu said, “This is the definition of our dependence; It is the feeling of loving one's country, country and nation. Our commitment is our commitment to our unity in these lands, to our solidarity, to our Republic and to the great leader Atatürk.” Stating that Divrigi has an ancient history dating back to ancient times, İmamoğlu said:

“The Liberation War was a great struggle. One of the most iconic cities of this struggle is Sivas, where our Ata lived for 108 days. And we commemorate with gratitude our martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives in Sivas, especially in the liberation struggle, and our veterans who lost their lives afterwards. May the souls of our martyrs and veterans rest in peace. But he also had an economic struggle. Even at that time, we are at the home of the people of Divrigi, who contributed greatly to our liberation struggle by producing the precious gems of this beautiful city. In other words, we are among the people who produced the values ​​that raised this country with Atatürk and his comrades in the struggle for liberation in its most difficult days. I'm proud for him, I'm happy for him."

Stating that Divrigi is a mining city, İmamoğlu said, “I send my greetings to all mine workers and mine workers. I send my regards. On this occasion, I would like to express my condolences to all of us for the tragic event that we still feel the pain of and lost 41 mining citizens. May the souls of our miners rest in peace. I wish patience to their families. God bless everyone. You must not be careless. We are all responsible in such work environments. Mayors, public administrators, institutions and organizations that operate such businesses, job and worker safety are the main responsibilities of all of us. Reminding that the second century of the founding of the Republic of Turkey will begin by 2023, İmamoğlu said:

Divriği Mayor Hakan Gök, who thanked İBB President İmamoğlu for his contribution and support to the construction of Divriği Intercity Bus Terminal, said, “As the sister municipality of Divriği, it was a very special thing for me to take care of us and listen to us.” Gök offered his special thanks to Divriği District Governor Yakup Papaker, who interrupted his leave and attended the opening. District Governor Papaker expressed his feelings with the words, “Our district, which is developing and improving every year with both central and local investments, will have taken an important step towards regular and healthy urbanization with the opening of the new terminal building.”

The total construction area of ​​the bus station and living center, which was established on an area of ​​7.500 square meters, was 2.817 square meters. Products produced by women from Divriği will be sold in 8 shops built around the bus station.
