China's Export Center Gets a New High Speed ​​​​Train Line

China is starting the construction of a new line in the Yangtze Delta as part of the 12 thousand-kilometer high-speed train (YHT) line works.

At the beginning of this year, China announced its project to build another 2025 thousand kilometers of high-speed train (YHT) lines by the end of 12. As part of this plan, the construction of a new line in the Yangtze Delta is starting. A major 55-kilometer line approved will connect major cities at the mouth of the Yangtze to Shanghai and the cities of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces through 16 stations. Trains will travel at 350 kilometers per hour; The entire project will cost approximately 180 billion yuan.

By 2023, the YHT network will reach a total of 50 thousand kilometers and become equal to the sum of the networks of the five most developed countries in the world: Spain, Japan, France, Germany and Finland. China's current YHT network length is 5 thousand kilometers.

The Yangtze Delta is home to about 16,7 percent of China's population, but is the source of about 24 percent of the country's industrial output. In addition, the region meets 36,8 percent of the country's total exports.
