GAZİRAY Awaits President Erdogan for the Opening

GAZİRAY Project, which will ease the traffic in Gaziantep, will be opened on Saturday, November 5, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and cabinet members. The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) officials reviewed the latest works by making inspections at GAZİRAY before the opening.

In Gaziantep, which is preparing to experience one of its historical days, the excitement of GAZİRAY, which will bring a new breath to the traffic of the city, continues. TCDD officials, on the other hand, focused on the latest status of the project before the opening. The delegation, headed by Deputy General Manager Turgay Gökdemir, Regional Manager Alisey Felek, Head of Railway Modernization Department Selim Bolat, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ officials, participated in the test drive in GAZİRAY. Visiting Taşlıca CTC Command Center, the delegation made inspections at 16 stations on the Başpınar-Gaziantep-Taşlıca route and put the finishing touches on it. The delegation also discussed the details of the program that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will inaugurate.

Within the scope of the GAZİRAY Project, a total of 2 km of new railways were built within the 2 km route, including 25,5 suburban lines and 112 high-speed train lines. Gaziantep station area will be integrated with urban transportation and will be a transfer center.
