3-year apprenticeship and 1-year journeyman trainings are given in vocational training centers, where anyone who wants to have a profession without age limit can apply. In this context, apprentices receive a wage of 1.658 and journeymen receive a wage of 2.763 TL. It also provides insurance against work accidents and occupational diseases. All these opportunities are provided to students by the state.

In vocational training centers where students can get their vocational high school diplomas by giving difference courses and where “beauty, hair care services, motor vehicle technology, food and beverage services” are the most demanded, education opportunities are offered in 33 fields and 181 different branches. With this change, for the first time, vocational training centers have a very attractive mechanism for both employers and our young people who will go to the vocational training center. We are really happy to see how quickly this step we have taken, the new regulation has spread to the field. Our President had set the target of increasing the number of apprentices and journeymen in vocational training centers to 2022 million by the end of 1. Thank God, all the steps taken so far have enabled us to progress very quickly in this regard, and I believe that we will not only reach the 2022 million target by the end of 1, but we will go far beyond this target."
