Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall announced its new season repertoire. IMM Culture Department Head Figen Ayhan Karakelle and General Art Director Murat Cem Orhan shared information about the new season with the press. At the opening concert, Cello Artist Alban Gerhardt, one of the important names of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, took the stage. The concert started with a moment of silence for Onur Şener, who recently passed away, and Ayça Gökdeniz, a CRR Master Class student.

General Art Director Murat Cem Orhan said that “CRR is no longer just a concert venue, it is a place that thinks and lives” and that they see the Composition Academy and the Young Chamber Orchestra as the pearls of this year. Murat Cem Orhan continued his words as follows: Aiming to train new composers, CRR Academy provides training to 26 people. One of the master class graduates received an invitation to audition for the La Scala class. This year, the new project CRR Composition Academy trains new musicians. The Academy consists of two titles: Polyphonic Western Music Workshop conducted by Armağan Durdağ and Jazz Music Workshop conducted by Güçlü Başar Gülle. After the training, a concert will be held at the CRR Composition Academy. In this concert, the works of the students will be performed by professional musicians. Students who successfully complete the academy will be awarded the CRR Composing Academy Certificate. This year, applications were made to the Young Chamber Orchestra by following a new working method. 3 people from 12 different countries and 174 cities applied and 8 soloists were selected. 8 names will perform separately.
NEW SEASON AT CRRFUAYE: FIVE TEA CONCERTS AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF MUSIC
Free concerts will take place every Wednesday at 17.00. For those who cannot attend the evening concerts for different reasons, the Five Tea Concerts will be an alternative. Five Stream Concerts will meet with music lovers with the concert of a different musical branch every week. prof. Dr. Under the leadership of Mehmet Yusuf Örnek, a presentation with a concert will be held, bringing together philosophy and music. There will be works on names such as Wagner and Nietzsche, Hiedegger and Mozart.
NEW EXHIBITION AT CRR FOYER: YEDITEPE ISTANBUL
The CRR foyer hosts the exhibition “Yeditepe Istanbul” by the famous painter and academician Refik Aziz. More than 1992 paintings by Aziz, who came from the Azerbaijani painting school and settled in the city in 150 due to his admiration for Istanbul, enriching the museums, will now be open to visit between October 10 and November 10 at CRRfuaye.
