The Turkish aviation industry draws attention not only with air transportation but also with its production capabilities. Finally, Ankara-based BMH Aviation announced that it has signed an agreement at the Istanbul AirShow for the production of the MSC Aerospace SyberJet SJ30i aircraft, designed in the USA as a multi-purpose small business jet, in our country. The company aims to make Turkey a player that changes the dynamics of the sector in the field of business jets, within the scope of cooperation.

Turkey is rapidly advancing towards becoming a worldwide manufacturing center in the aviation industry, as in many other sectors. Finally, Ankara-based BMH Aerospace and Investment Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement at the Istanbul AirShow to reproduce the MSC Aerospace SyberJet SJ1986i aircraft, designed by Edward Swearingen as a small multi-purpose business jet in the United States (USA) in 30. It has been reported that the company, which will be established under the name 'SJA Turkey' in Ankara with FAR 121 certificate, will undertake the production and design responsibility of the SJ30i.

The planes will be delivered in 2024

According to the statement made by BMH Aviation, the delivery of the aircraft to be produced in Ankara within the framework of the agreement will start in the first quarter of 2024. With the resumption of production of the SJ6i, which has a seat capacity of 8 to 4 and a range of 630 km, the jet, which is compatible with developing markets, will be sold globally. Our country, which has increased its design and production capacity in the field of defense and aerospace in recent years, will thus become the player that determines the dynamics of the sector in the field of business jets.

The agreement has spawned multiple business partnerships between the two countries

The decision to manufacture the SJ30i aircraft, which has the capacity to fly faster and higher than other jets in its class, in Turkey brings along many business partnerships within the scope of the agreement. SJA Turkey will work with OSSA, Ostim's aviation and space cluster, which is the production project partner on the production and design of the aircraft. SJA Turkey will also cooperate with Ostim Technical University on R&D. Honeywell will be the supplier of the Sybervision avionics team, while Williams Engines will be collaborating in the USA to produce the engines for the private jet.
