Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality has redesigned the area that used to have a small skateboarding rink in Atatürk Park and turned it into a well-equipped Skate Park. area of ​​1250 square meters; Young people also stated that they are very satisfied with the service of Metropolitan, which makes it safer and more fun for young people with its security camera and free wifi.

Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz keeps his promise to young people and continues to create Skate Parks all over the city. Following the Courtyard Living Area, the Metropolitan Municipality, which completed the Skate Park works in Atatürk Park; created an environment for adrenaline-loving youth who are fond of skateboarding, skating and cycling, where they can spend time safely and with pleasure. The Metropolitan Municipality, which reorganized the area, which used to have a small skateboarding track, and turned it into a well-equipped Skate Park on an area of ​​1250 square meters; established an environment that can host both amateur and professional skateboarders, and where young people can experience sports, education and entertainment together. In the Skate Park, which has been made safe with a camera system, the free wifi system with bluetooth connection has been made ready so that the young people can skate easily, so that they can keep their energy high.

Providing information about Skate Park, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Urban Aesthetics, Landscape Architect Semra Akçaer stated that they have brought the Skate Park back to life in Atatürk Park, based on the promise made by President Yücel Yılmaz to the youth, and said, “We encourage young people to use this area more comfortably and safely.
