Organized in cooperation with Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Canoe Federation, the "Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Stagnant Water Canoe Republic Cup" races started with the opening ceremony.
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. In line with the importance Mehmet Hilmi Güler attaches to sports and athletes, Gülyalı Durgun Water Sports Center and Camping Area, which was established in Gülyalı district, hosts many organizations.
This time, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Stagnant Water Canoe Republic Cup Races are held within the scope of the 99th Anniversary of the Republic, at the Stagnant Water Sports Center and Camping Area, which is the only one in Turkey with its equipment and enables professional practice of still water sports such as canoeing and sailing in Ordu.
In the races, which started with the opening ceremony and will last for two days with the participation of 250 athletes and trainers, 1000 meters races and 500 meters qualifying races will be held in the Men/Women Seniors, Juniors, Stars, Juniors and Mini Juniors categories. The second day races will be held on Saturday, October 2. The organization will come to an end with the trophy ceremony to be held after the 29 meter finals and the 500 meter races.
