Akkuyu Nuclear Organizes National Children's Painting Contest

Akkuyu Nuclear A.Ş invited children aged 4 to 16 from all over Turkey to participate in the traditional national painting competition.

More than 150 children from Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Mersin, Bursa and other provinces applied to the competition held last year. The participants drew pictures of nuclear energy and other green energy sources that will provide a clean and sustainable future for Turkey.

The theme of this year's competition is "A Green World Begins with Me". Competitors are invited to show how each of us can help protect nature for future generations. How to help provide affordable and stable electricity to all people? How does nuclear power, along with other clean energy sources, contribute to environmental protection? Participants will need to answer these questions in the form of a picture.

The competition will be held in 4 categories: 6 to 7 years old, 9 to 10 years old, 12 to 13 years old, 16 to 5 years old, and the most original image, and in an online format.

3 participants from each of the five categories will be rewarded with various gifts. Entrants' paintings will be evaluated by a professional jury for technical performance, artistic expression and suitability for the competition theme.

Participants will be able to apply for the contest by filling out the scanned version of the pictures, the application form, the lighting text and the text explaining the rules of the national painting competition and sending it to communications@akkuyu.com with the subject title of “AKKUYU NÜKLEER Painting Contest”. Applications for the competition can be made between 17 - 23 October 2022. In order to register, participants must fill in all fields of the application form and sign the consent statement, the lighting text and the explanatory text of the national painting competition rules.

The winners of the competition will be announced on the official website and social media accounts of AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. on October 26, 2022.
