The "Accessible Science Project" jointly carried out by Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) and Bağcılar Municipality was introduced with the participation of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, AK Party Istanbul Provincial President Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, Bağcılar Mayor Abdullah Özdemir and many citizens. Minister Varank, in his speech at the opening, pointed out the importance of the center that was opened and gave information about the work done with the understanding of the social state. Emphasizing the importance of disabled people for themselves and voicing that it is important to make their lives easier, Varank said, "We have provided our disabled brothers and sisters with easy access to all kinds of public services, especially education and health." said.

PROMOTING SOCIAL LIFE

Explaining that the number of disabled students receiving inclusive education in schools has increased from 58 thousand to approximately 400 thousand, Varank said, “The number of disabled students studying in special education classes has increased by 8 times and exceeded 50 thousand. As of the end of last year, the number of disabled people receiving home care assistance reached 535 thousand. We also very seriously encourage the participation of our disabled brothers and sisters in social life. We have implemented revolutionary regulations in terms of access to transportation vehicles and access to buildings. We have made it a necessity, not a choice, to make open areas such as pedestrian crossings and parks accessible to our disabled brothers.” used his statements.

THE NUMBER OF DISABLED WORKERS IN THE PUBLIC GOVERNMENT EXCEEDED 130 THOUSAND

Pointing out that they paved the way for disabled people to become working individuals with tens of thousands of appointments, Varank stated that the number of disabled workers in the public sector has now exceeded 130 thousand. 8 DIFFERENT WORKSHOPS

Noting that the Accessible Science Project, implemented with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has a budget of 2 million TL, Varank said, “We aim for our disabled brothers and sisters to spend time together with science, which is the key to competitiveness. With the project, we established 8 different workshops ranging from ceramics to math and strategy games. COURSE OPPORTUNITIES IN 36 DIFFERENT BRANCHES FOR A THOUSAND 600 DISABLED PEOPLE

According to the information given, at Feyzullah Kıyıklık Disabled People's Palace, where disabled people and their families take courses, 36 disabled people in 600 different branches are offered courses in a family environment.
