Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank stated that the metal sector is one of the main pillars of the Turkish industry when we look at the production and exports, the employment and added value it creates, and said, “Every breakthrough in the metal industry, every development to be experienced directly affects the majority of the country's industry. With this awareness, the Turkish metal industry, on which we care, is making history in recent times.” said.

Ankiros opened the International Iron and Steel, Casting, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy Technologies, Machinery and Products Specialization Fair.

INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS

Speaking at the ceremony, Varank stated that as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, they show a special sensitivity to sectoral fairs and said that these fairs are "showcases where the business world showcases its innovative products and talents".

THE LARGEST ORGANIZATION IN EUROPE AND ASIA

Stating that they attended and opened dozens of fairs both at home and abroad this year, Varank stated that they proudly witnessed the power and dynamism of the private sector in all of these fairs. Explaining that the Ankiros fair, attended by more than a thousand companies and hosting tens of thousands of visitors, is the largest organization in Europe and Asia, Varank said, “Of course, not only the representatives of the private sector, but also as the public, we have taken our place in this fair. Our metal industry experts have opened a booth here to answer all your questions. We will also interact with you here.” said.

WRITTEN HISTORY

Varank stated that the metal sector is one of the main pillars of the Turkish industry when we look at the production and exports, the employment and added value it creates, and said, “But it would not be correct to consider the sector only as a metal industry due to its forward and backward links. When we say metal, we are talking about the main input of almost every sector, from automotive to construction, from machinery to rail systems. For this reason, every breakthrough to be made in the metal industry, every development to be experienced will directly affect a large part of the country's industry. With this awareness, the Turkish metal industry, on which we care, is making history in recent times.” he said.

WE ARE FIRST IN EUROPE

Stating that they do not forget the foundries when the metal sector is mentioned, Varank said that the foundries have also done great things recently. Reminding that Turkey ranks first in Europe and seventh in the world with its steel production of 40 million tons today, Varank said, “In terms of production capacity, we have passed 2021 million tons as of 53. With the ongoing investments, we will have reached the level of 60 million tons in a short time. On the other hand, we export more than half of our production. We are in sixth place in the world with 2021 million tons of steel exports worth 25 billion dollars in 22. This figure corresponds to 12 percent of our total exports. I would like to congratulate all the sector representatives and 55 thousand working brothers for their tremendous achievements.” used the phrases.

DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL

Saying, “Now, when Turkey comes to mind when the steel industry is mentioned in the world, we need to invest more in value-added works as our industry,” said Varank. We need to produce quality products and invest in areas where we will make great leaps, such as in our national aircraft, helicopters and special projects.” he said.

ATTRACTIVE INVESTMENT ENVIRONMENT

Varank, stating that it is time to benefit from the attractive investment environment in Turkey, said, “We, as the government, as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, are behind you. We promise to give you all kinds of support in this regard. In this context, we are always together to overcome the development of our industry and the difficulties it faces from time to time. We are working hard to fulfill your demands and problems.” said.
