Turkish astronaut candidates were subjected to tests at an altitude of 25 thousand feet in preparation for low atmospheric pressure exposure. Announcing the development on his official Twitter account, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank stated that the selection of candidates to represent Turkey on the International Space Station continues.

In this context, Varank said, “Turkey's first space traveler will come out of this room! Our candidates were subjected to tests at 25K FEET altitude pressure to prepare for low atmospheric pressure exposure. The difficult selection process of our national hero who will represent our country on the International Space Station continues.” used the phrases.

Within the scope of the Turkish Astronaut and Science Mission, which is one of the targets of the National Space Program, an agreement was made with Axiom Space. With the agreement, a Turkish citizen will be trained by Axiom Space within the scope of the Turkish Astronaut and Science Mission (TABM) and will carry out scientific experiments in space.
