The 'Juliopolis Necropolis' Sun Will Rise in the Aegean

"The Faces of Juliopolis Exhibition", which has attracted great interest in Ankara and its districts, is now meeting with the people of Izmir for the first time outside of the land where it was born, with the support of Ege University (EU) Faculty of Letters, Archeology Department.

In the public archeology exhibition event, prepared with digital infrastructure by the Juliopolis Project, it is aimed to raise awareness of the cultural heritage of the area by introducing the Ancient City of Juliopolis, one of the largest necropolises being excavated in Anatolia. In the exhibition, information about the Ancient City of Juliopolis, which was unearthed by the rescue excavations carried out by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, will be conveyed using digital archeology and anthropology methods. In the exhibition, which will feature holographic displays, three-dimensional models and animations, it is planned to bring together the faces of the Juliopolis inhabitants, who lived in the Roman Period 2000 years ago, the findings about their beliefs and social lives, and the information available about the Ancient City of Juliopolis.

The Faces of Juliopolis Exhibition will be opened in the Foyer Area after the panel to be held at Ege University Faculty of Letters Nuri Bilgin Conference Hall on October 31 at 14:00 and can be visited until November 4th.
