Kocaeli Police Department organized a Safe Not Fast Delivery training for motorcycle couriers. Speaking at the program held at the Interteks Fairground in the district of Izmit, Governor Seddar Yavuz said that we were passing through a period when it became difficult to go from one place to another and public transportation gained importance.
Pointing out that lifestyles have changed during the epidemic process, Governor Yavuz explained that new working models such as working from home and digitalization have emerged, e-commerce has increased and motorcycle couriers have quickly entered daily life.
Governor Yavuz noted that ensuring the health and safety of motorcycle couriers is among their duties.
Fast and Safe Delivery Is Important To Us
Emphasizing that the safety of life should not be compromised while being fast, Governor Yavuz continued as follows:
“We can reduce accident rates and minimize injury and loss of life by training, demonstrating advanced driving techniques, wearing our helmets, and protecting ourselves by wearing appropriate clothing. We aim to do this with today's training. Our Provincial Police Department is putting its signature under a very good project. We are all here together and we want to raise awareness. Fast as well as safe delivery is important to us. These trainings will be repeated continuously and we will have completed the trainings that will enable our brothers to use motorcycles better and to comply more with the traffic rules. In this way, we hope that we will contribute to the safety of life.”
Provincial Police Chief Veysal Tipioğlu also shared information about the project.
Then, traffic training on Safe Delivery, Not Fast, was given to motorcycle couriers in order to improve motorcycle driving technique and prevent possible accidents.
After the speeches, Governor Yavuz and the members of the protocol distributed helmets to the motorcycle couriers participating in the training and had a group photo taken in memory of the day.
