İBB opened a total of 9 “Course Workshops” in 11 different districts. Reminding that “We said we have to start an education campaign in Istanbul 3,5 years ago,” İmamoğlu said:
“We have said that we are obliged to touch every aspect of education. What the municipalities could do in the field of education had shrunk to a very limited extent. Although it seems to be cornered, we see this area as an area of opportunity for ourselves, to close some of the deficiencies there, to solve some existing problems, to make the inequalities experienced by all our children and young people in the society equal, and to make sure that none of our children say, 'I have no one. It is the day we succeeded in becoming a country where the main job is to serve the citizen, not the citizen to pay allegiance to him, but to create the environment in which the administrator provides the highest level of service to the citizen. WHERE ARE IBB COURSE WORKSHOPS? WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM PRIORITY?
Murat Yazıcı, Deputy Secretary General of IMM, also shared detailed information about the workshops. According to this; İBB Course Workshops were put into service in Capa/Fatih, Silivrikapı/Fatih, Bayrampaşa, Sefaköy, Sultangazi, Kartal (Hasan Doğan Sports Complex), Kartal (Uğur Mumcu Cultural Center), Esenler, Eyüpsultan, Pendik and Şile. In the workshops, 2 students will receive face-to-face education and 102 thousand students will receive online education. The last students of secondary and high schools will be able to benefit from the workshops throughout the entire academic year. Courses to be taught, 15th grade Mathematics, Science, Turkish, English; For 8th graders, there will be Turkish Language and Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students attend workshops; school achievements, the financial situation of their families and whether they are martyrs or veteran children will be given priority.
