Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) broke new ground after the first contribution to kindergartens, dormitories and university students in the history of the institution. İBB opened a total of 9 “Course Workshops” in 11 different districts. Opening of the workshops, which were put into service to contribute to the preparation of secondary and high school senior students for LGS and YKS, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu carried out by İmamoğlu made a speech to the students, teachers and parents who will benefit from the workshops before the opening at the İBB Pendik Lesson Workshop.
“WE ARE RESPONSIBLE TO TOUCH EVERY FIELD OF EDUCATION”
Reminding that “We said we have to start an education campaign in Istanbul 3,5 years ago,” İmamoğlu said:
“We have said that we are obliged to touch every aspect of education. What the municipalities could do in the field of education had shrunk to a very limited extent. Although it seems to be cornered, we see this area as an area of opportunity for ourselves, to close some of the deficiencies there, to solve some existing problems, to make the inequalities experienced by all our children and young people in the society equal, and to make sure that none of our children say, 'I have no one. ' or 'I have a problem' or 'I have a problem' or 'I don't have enough opportunities', we have become an institution that strives not to make him say the reproaches; We will continue to be. Because education is the main source of solving the problems of this city and this country permanently. When we define such a process for our beautiful children, children and youth, there is nothing that they cannot achieve as a person, as a manager who believes in the talent of our people.”
“IT IS OUR EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITY TO TRY TO BE THERE FOR EVERYONE IN NEED”
Expressing that they opened kindergartens and dormitories for the first time in the history of IMM, and provided scholarships to university students, in order to ensure that the children of the city have education and equality of opportunity, İmamoğlu said, “We will continue to take these steps. We will make a great effort to repair and treat environments that tend towards higher levels of injustice and inequality.” Noting that they continue to increase the number of libraries and cultural centers within the same scope, İmamoğlu stated that they have also structured the Enstitü Istanbul İSMEK and Regional Employment Offices in this sense. Saying, “We see it as a managerial responsibility to be with everyone in need, and to put forward the understanding that 'Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is by their side' if someone needs them," İmamoğlu addressed the participants with the following words:
“THESE SERVICES ARE NOT A PARTY'S BENEFITS TO YOU”
“None of these Ekrem İmamoğlu' or a party to which it is a member or an alliance is not a favor to you. These are the products of the management approach that demonstrates the ability of transferring your budgets to our citizens by using them correctly. It is never a blessing. Giving you something that is your right. If a citizen in a society acts in his truth, in search of 'This is my right and I am taking my right, I should take it', then there the administrators know their place too. It is the day we succeeded in becoming a country where the main job is to serve the citizen, not the citizen to pay allegiance to him, but to create the environment in which the administrator provides the highest level of service to the citizen. Therefore, please do not allow these services to turn into a show-off issue, another issue.”
“WHERE THE NEED IS, WE GO THERE”
Saying “So where are we today”, İmamoğlu shared information about the 'Lesson Workshops' he opened. We said, 'If we have children and young people who cannot equally be educated for university or high school exams, we are also responsible', and we set out on this road," said İmamoğlu.
