The 13 finalists of the 15th Wedding Dress Design Competition, which was held within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir - Wedding Dress, Suit and Evening Dress Fair, were announced. The competition, which aims to bring new designers to the sector, will be held this year with the theme of "modaverse" in order to reveal the designs of the new age that bear the traces of traditional fashion, while the first 170 designs selected in the evaluation made among 15 designs will be in the final.
IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, Europe's biggest fair in its sector, where fashion trends are determined, sheds light on the dreams of young people on the way to bring new designers to the fashion world. IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Wedding Dress, Suit and Evening Dress Fair; It is preparing to open its doors for the 22th time on 25-2022 November 16 by İZFAŞ, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and in partnership with Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association. IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, which will be held at the Fair İzmir, also aims to bring new designers to the sector with the Wedding Dress Design Competition held for the 13th time this year. The competition, which aims to strengthen the sector with new designs and to reveal original designs that can create fashion and trends in international markets, will bring together young designers with industry professionals this year.
Designers from 19 provinces applied with 170 designs to the competition, which was organized with the theme of "Modaverse" this year, in order to reveal the new age designs that combine the past and the future and carry the traces of traditional fashion. In the evaluation made by the jury, 15 designs that made it to the final were determined. Finalists; Anıl Bayraktar, Arife Gedik, Buse Sinem Tekin, Ceylin Hurcanlar, Defne Kacar, Dide Aksamaoğlu, Ecenur Erdoğan, Enes Yolcu, Gizem Mendi, Gülsüm Güneş, İlayda Yasin, Nazmiye Gümüş, Oğuzhan Öndeyer, Sercan İzci and Serkan Çınar. In a short time, the designers will start the sewing process under the mentorship of industry professionals in the workshops of fashion designers who are members of the Izmir Fashion Designers Association. Young talents will have the chance to present their designs to professionals at the opening ceremony fashion show that will take place on November 22, 2022, while the competition awards will find their owners. In addition, the designs of 15 finalists will be showcased throughout the fair.

Prizes for the winners
The winners of the competition will not only enter the sector with firm steps, but also win special prizes. The designer, who will be the winner, will be entitled to the Performance Fashion Show in IF Wedding Fashion İzmir 17, as well as a cash prize of 500 thousand 2023 TL. The second designer will be awarded 15 thousand TL and the third designer will be awarded 12 thousand 500 TL.
